![]() I chalked the error up to my visit being within the first week of operation - opening pains. They finally let us have our two lanes and we got on with our afternoon. I did have a charge on my credit card, so I knew the reservation went through. They tried to "find" it for about 15 minutes (and 3 employees), but never could find it. When I arrived with my people, they could not find my reservation. The first time, I had booked two bowling lanes for a party of 9. I have been to Main Event, new to my city, three time. By this time our allotted bowling time was quickly dwindling so we rushed through 10 frames of bowling, got our tab, and vowed to never return to such a poorly run establishment. ![]() I finally was able to grab a couple of beers. That never happened so I stood by the bar for about 15 minutes while I watched the bartenders good off and then wait on the 15 year olds ordering Red Bull. I would assume that for $45/hour a server may come by to take our order. Fast forward to tonight when my husband and I went back to bowl. After this nonsense and several dollars later we had an enjoyable time with our family. He spoke to a nice young lady who sympathized with the fact that the website was garbage and assisted in booking our lanes over the phone (not sure why this couldn't happen when I called the first time). Booking a bowling lane is a terribly complicated process so we called the location directly for assistance and were told that we had to book through the website which resulted in my husband having to call again since the website still made no sense. We went with family (kids included) one afternoon this week and again as a couple this evening. I am only writing a bad review after having two terrible experiences in one week. I will not involve my family or kids in this scam again. The deceit and misrepresentation by this business is unacceptable. I have accepted that this is an expensive place but this was ridiculous. Disgusted we left the facility after spending over $110 dollars on "unlimited" bowling and food/drinks. The manager stated that all of the lanes were reserved but not used as the patrons had not responded to their text notifications. Nonetheless we had to stop our game and go on the waiting list. Half of the lanes in the facility were unused and five of the lanes flanking our lane had been open or unused for 30 minutes prior to our lane suspension. We reported to the front desk and were told that we had to get on a waiting list if we wanted to continue bowling. We chose to bowl after one hour our lane was turned off in the middle of our second game. Tonight we tried "Monday Madness" with "Unlimited" activities for $10.95 per person. I have accepted that I will spend hundreds of dollars for each visit and have spent thousands of dollars this year alone. ![]() The Main Event in Knoxville is one of the most expensive venues for our family fun nights.
